Matt Watson

I was born in 1972 and grew up in Cookham, Berkshire.

My earliest memories are of painting & cooking.

 

After opening Matt's Kitchen, in 2010, my life has been consumed by food. The simple style of the restaurant has afforded me time and space to travel and this is where I make my work.

My pieces are site specific, land & sea scapes, sometimes direct reflections of the scene in front of me but often abstractions of the environment.

 

Each work is unique and is sold as such with blemishes, sand and sunscreen often adorning the surrounds of the image.
